Main Section
The Main Section offers a presentation of the best world feature films released in the year 2009. CINEMA MUNDI FESTIVAL thus – for the first time – makes it possible for common audience to gather an idea about the quality of particular national cinemas and contemporary top world cinematic production. In many cases they will also have a chance to meet filmmakers and gain reliable information not only about the films, but the state of particular national cinema. The Main Section films are divided into groups based on geographical closeness (with the exception of Australia, which is included in the group of films from Central and West Asia). Every festival day is devoted to one territory. On this day all films from the particular group will be screened for the first time, some of them will be screened again the following days.
